The weekend that nearly wasn't
Published on unknown, 2007

Well, this last weekend could have gone horribly horribly wrong! Between unexpected last-minute drummer changes and your humble webmaster making his debut as "Biggest Dickinson" (Speed's name for me, not mine!!!), we could have wound up in very deep water.

Praise the good Gods of Rock for getting us through this one! Please send your warmest thoughts and good vibrations out to Nicko McBrain Junior, who was involved in a M25 nasty on the way to the Milton Keynes gig - all involved are OK and on the mend, for which we're all grateful.

Quicko McBrain of past Hi-on fame got us out of a tight spot on Friday in Milton Keynes with a great performance, and Mr Dave Shaw reprised his European role and helped us out in Swindon. HUGE THANKS to both these fine upstanding drummers, without whom these two gigs would have been cancelled on the day. Which is very much Not Cool! Check out the gig diary on the forum for the full skinny.

Swindon on Saturday 24th was a slightly different affair, with Mr Hurry (yours truly) taking over frontman duties and Simon Bradley of past Hurry-ism doing my guitar parts. This came off far better than I expected, and kudos to the crowd in Swindon for being so warm and generous with your praise! Photos from both gigs will be up in the Gallery soon, and recordings of both gigs were made - watch the Downloads page over the next week or so.

That's it for gigs for this year. Next year's Gig List is about to get an update, with a couple of new February/March dates going up in the next few minutes. Speed "What d'ya mean you've got no salt?" Harris is waiting on around twenty venues for dates, so watch the gig list for a gig near you! Next year should bring plenty of gigs, maybe even a professional DVD or two (multiple cameras / good sound mix? Who knows!). I'll try and keep the website interesting over the Christmas period - any suggestions gratefully received!
