Introducing Steve Haggis...
Published: February 5, 2011
The eagle-eyed Facebookers amongst you may have noticed that our beloved Speed Harris will be taking a brief sabbatical from the tribute band world as he concentrates on his new life as a student. Speed undertook the monolithic task of studying for his Masters degree at Cardiff University last September, and understandably wishes to focus all his energy on completing his course. The intensive workload, coupled with family commitments, meant something had to give. Unfortunately that means his life as a pretend rock star will have to be put on hold for a little while. We all wish Speed the best of luck with this mammouth undertaking.
However, we are positively delighted to announce that one Mr Zander Green will be donning the wig and spandex for the duration of Speed's absence, taking on the part of Steve Haggis. We're sure many of you will know Zander already as for the past few years he's been galloping out the Steve Harris bass lines in the excellent Maiden Scotland, thus making him the perfect person to take on the role. We're immensely grateful to him for stepping into the breach, and would like to take a moment to welcome him into the fold!

Rehearsals with Zander get underway in a couple of weeks, and we're sure we'll be up to speed with Mr Haggis in no time at all. Haggis' first shows with us will be at The Junction in Plymouth at the end of February for the 'Somewhere in Time' and 'Number of the Beast' album themed shows; talk about throwing him in at the deep end!
These shows take place on Friday February 25 and Saturday February 26. Doors open at 20:00 and tickets are priced at £6·00 for a single show or £10·00 for both nights.
Tickets for our 2010 show sold out well in advance so booking early is advised to avoid disappointment!
